Leadpacks (Xiamen) Environmental Protection Packing Co., Ltd.

Hello, come to consult our products !

Leadpacks (Xiamen) Environmental Protection Packing Co., Ltd. manufactures biodegradable packaging bags that fully comply with EU environmental regulations, spearheading a green packaging revolution.

As a global leader in plastic packaging innovation, Leadpacks has developed a comprehensive range of biodegradable packaging bags that have passed the latest EU environmental certification. These bags not only meet the stringent requirements of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) but also offer packaging solutions that provide environmental benefits while retaining practical value for the European market. They comply with the international standard EN 13432 for biodegradability, helping corporate clients navigate the new EU environmental policies set to take effect in August 2026.

The 100% biodegradable packaging bags are made from a composite bio-based material comprising polylactic acid (PLA) and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), sourced from renewable materials like corn starch and cassava. This approach reduces dependence on fossil fuels. The products have undergone rigorous testing by authoritative institutions, demonstrating total heavy metal (lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium) content of 100 mg/kg, and PFAS content in food contact grades controlled below 25 ppb, ensuring compliance with EU safety requirements for packaging materials. In terms of degradation performance, these products achieve a degradation rate of over 90% within 45-90 days under industrial composting conditions and are completely converted into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass within 180 days, leaving no environmental residue. This process truly embodies the ecological cycle of “from nature, to nature.

To align closely with the EU’s circular economy strategy, Leadpacks has established a full-chain compliance assurance system. The products not only meet the EU’s core requirements for compostable packaging but also incorporate lightweight design concepts, optimizing packaging weight and volume to the minimum necessary for function while retaining good recyclability. This meets the PPWR regulation’s phased requirements for packaging recyclability levels A/B/C by 2030. In response to the EU’s mandatory regulations regarding recycled material content, the company has released an enhanced version of its products containing more than 30% post-consumer recycled materials. These bags can adapt to various scenarios such as food contact, daily necessities packaging, and agricultural applications, balancing environmental compliance with performance. They can support weights of 5-10 kg, comparable to traditional plastic packaging bags.

“The core of the EU’s upgraded environmental policies is to drive the packaging industry towards sustainable transformation, which presents both challenges and opportunities,” said the R&D Director of Leadpacks. “Our biodegradable packaging bags not only address the pollution issues associated with traditional plastics but also optimize material formulations through synthetic biology technology, reducing production costs by over 18%. This breaks the industry bottleneck of ‘high performance inevitably means high cost’ for environmentally friendly materials.”

According to data from the European Bioplastics Association, the EU’s biodegradable plastics production capacity reached 680,000 tons in 2024 and is projected to exceed 1.5 million tons by 2030, with a market size expected to reach 42 billion. Policy-driven demand for alternatives is rapidly increasing. Leadpacks’ compliant products, which leverage a complete EU certification system, full-scenario adaptability, and large-scale production advantages, have already secured initial orders from several European food and retail companies. This positions Leadpacks to provide global customers with competitive green packaging products, jointly promoting the development of a circular economy.
